Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Automatic Tank Gauge team. Design, develop, and maintain software across tanker gauge platforms, applying new tech stacks and frameworks.

You will work within agile teams, collaborating with cross-functional groups to deliver game-changing solutions. The role requires 3–5 years of OO software experience, with C++ or Java, and familiarity with REST/JSON, cloud services (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience developing software in object-oriented languages (C++ or Java preferred).
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure).
• Project leadership experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute software solutions for Automated Tank Gauge and related platforms.
• Evaluate and apply newer technology stacks and frameworks as appropriate.
• Leverage Agile practices to improve team performance.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and QA teams to deliver solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers on design and coding best practices and new technologies.
