Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company in the Lincoln, Nebraska area, is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain automated tank gauge software and related platforms. You will work on innovative tools and collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 3–5 years in OO programming with C++ or Java.
• Project leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute software for Automated Tank Gauge platforms.
• Identify suitable newer stacks and help the team adopt them.
• Apply Agile methodologies to improve team workflows.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, QA teams to deliver solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers on design and coding best practices.
