Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Arlington, VA seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and deploy enterprise software. You will translate business requirements into business-ready applications using agile practices and collaborate across IT, BI, and security teams.

Based in our Arlington headquarters, you’ll work with DBAs, cloud admins, data engineers, and vendors to automate workflows and build data models for storage and processing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering.
• Strong knowledge of the application lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
• Experience in full stack application development and able to work on both the back-end and front-end of applications.
• Proficient in designing database models.
• Experience in UI/UX design practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic with ability to effectively prioritize, meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities and business needs, and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information.
• Ability to work in a fast-based, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development of a secure framework and standards for how software is designed and maintained.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure that all phases of software development are followed including analysis, design, development, testing, and integration.
• Develop applications utilizing low-code services such as Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• Develop custom iOS and macOS software using coding languages such as Swift, Flutter.
• Develop user interfaces using JavaScript for web development, Angular, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop and maintain server-side logic using Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Build APIs and integrate them with front-end components.
• Design wireframes, data flow diagrams, data models, and process diagrams.
• Develop robotic and digital process automation workflows and pipelines to automate manual tasks.
• Actively engage in business stakeholder requirement workshops to understand, interpret, and translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing software to ensure minimal downtime
