Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Automatic Tank Gauge team. You will design, develop, and maintain software for fuel-management platforms and pursue new technology stacks.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of OO software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• CI and automated testing experience is useful.
• REST APIs and JSON experience is useful.
• AWS or Azure experience is useful.
• Project leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute software solutions to address business needs on our Automated Tank Gauge and related platforms
• Bring knowledge of newer technology stacks and frameworks, and identify where they should be applied, helping the rest of the team get up to speed.
• Use your experience with Agile methodologies to improve the working of our Agile teams
• Collaborate with peers, electrical and mechanical development teams, quality assurance and others as needed to produce game changing solutions
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices in design and coding as well as transfer technical knowledge about newer technologies
