Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II to build and improve distributed data applications for our audience segmentation platform. You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with engineers, product, and design, and deepen expertise in distributed systems and real-time data processing.

You will work with Java, Python, or Go, and contribute to scalable data pipelines that personalize experiences for clients and their customers.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Software Engineer with a foundation in backend services and distributed systems
• Experience developing with Java, Python, or Go and strong OO design, algorithms and optimization
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases and data modeling for performance and reliability
• Knowledge of clean code, data structures, algorithms, and software design best practices
• Ownership mindset and focus on end-to-end impact, reliability, and customer value
• Clear communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical teammates
• Ability to handle ambiguity and translate business goals into deliverables

Responsibilities

• Build and improve distributed data applications powering the segmentation platform
• Own well-scoped features end to end across data applications from design to deployment and operation
• Partner with engineering, product, and design to deliver high-quality software
• Understand service boundaries and data flows to assess impact on clients and users
• Contribute to team and engineering-wide improvements in process, infrastructure, and systems
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate work while evaluating architecture and tradeoffs
