Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Data and Storage teams to architect foundational infrastructure powering decisions and services for millions of users. You will design scalable data pipelines and end-to-end features across the AdTech stack, and collaborate across teams to productionize strategies.

The role emphasizes systems thinking, robust monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration, with potential for telecommuting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend development, distributed systems, or data engineering.
• Proficiency in one or more object-oriented or functional programming languages (Go, Java, Python, or C++).
• Experience with data modeling, query optimization, and translating customer problems into system design.
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience writing tests and establishing monitoring systems to ensure code stability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deliver end-to-end features spanning across the AdTech tech stack.
• Design, develop and operate highly scalable and reliable services.
• Leverage experience with large scale data using big data technologies such as Spark, Hive, Presto, Flink to build scalable data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Data Science, and Marketing to optimize ad spend and productionize winning strategies.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to leverage internal tech stacks and systems to build scalable, mature technologies.
• Build tools and automation to eliminate manual processes and improve efficiency for end users.
• May telecommute.
