Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company. Most roles can be done from almost anywhere within the United States, with in-person onboarding for a few roles and occasional office work as needed.

As a software engineer, you will break down projects into tasks, ship web apps with React, design, develop and launch APIs using Python or Kotlin, and own features end-to-end. You will collaborate with product, design and analytics, contribute to code reviews, and help keep our systems running reliably.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps using React or similar declarative UI frameworks.
• Experience designing and launching APIs at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Ability to take ownership of an area and deliver with high quality.

Responsibilities

• Break down larger projects into tasks and deliver in phases.
• Collaborate with product, design & analytics on ideation and constraints.
• Maintain team artifacts, metrics, and support on-call efforts.
• Participate in interview process and help grow the team.
