Job summary

Affirm, a remote‑first fintech company, is hiring a Software Engineer to help build scalable web apps and APIs. You’ll work with a global team across product, design and analytics, breaking down work into actionable tasks and delivering in phases.

You’ll contribute to the codebase with React front-ends and Python/Kotlin services, write clean, well-tested code, participate in reviews, and grow through feedback and on-call responsibilities in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping web apps with React.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale with Python or Kotlin.
• Ability to break down problems and deliver clean, tested, extensible code.
• Strong collaboration and code-review skills.
• Proactive growth mindset and feedback seeking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for global teams.
• This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities
