Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company hiring software engineers across the United States to build and scale consumer-facing web apps and APIs. You will break down projects, ship with React, and collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams to deliver impactful features.

You will design, develop and launch APIs in Python or Kotlin, take ownership of your growth, and participate in interviews to help grow the team in a fast-paced, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping web apps using React.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Ability to translate simple problems into multi-component solutions with clean, tested, extensible code.
• Comfort debugging a large codebase and conducting code reviews.
• Proactive in seeking feedback and owning personal growth.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a global team.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.

Responsibilities

• Break down larger projects into tasks and deliver in phases.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics throughout the lifecycle.
• Support operations and monitor team artifacts, escalating when needed.
• Participate in interview process and contribute to team growth.
