Job summary

JPMorganChase within the Digital Banking division is seeking a Software Engineer II. You will join an agile team that designs, develops, and delivers secure, scalable software components for our technology products.

You will execute software solutions end-to-end, writing secure code in Java with Spring Boot, REST services, and modern front-end patterns using React.js, while leveraging AI-assisted tools and collaborating with peers to ensure quality and security.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 2+ years of applied experience in software development.
• Experience with system design, development, testing and operational stability.
• Strong knowledge of Java technologies including Spring/Spring Boot and REST services.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS; messaging with Kafka, JMS, or MQ.
• Proficiency with React.js (state management, components, testing).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and evaluating outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development and troubleshooting.
• Writes secure, high-quality code with minimal guidance.
• Uses AI coding assist tools to improve quality, speed and productivity with peer review.
• Designs and troubleshoots with consideration for upstream and downstream systems.
• Applies SDLC tools including AI-assisted development to improve automation value.
• Troubleshoots to resolve basic to moderate technical problems.
• Analyzes large data sets to inform decisions in secure, stable development.
