Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Excellent coding skills and strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, complexity, and debugging.
• AI-native development workflow: daily, hands-on use of AI coding tools to build and ship software, evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience building with LLMs or agentic workflows (e.g., Claude or OpenAI APIs) in projects or coursework.
• Understanding of how web applications work, including HTTP, REST APIs, and relational databases/SQL.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly through independent research and by working with mentors and subject-matter experts.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and Ship Developer Features across the stack: backend APIs, database changes, and frontend experiences.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code with strong test coverage and participate in code reviews.
• Build AI-first development workflow using AI tools to move faster while maintaining quality.
• Learn the Identity Stack: authentication/authorization concepts (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, multi-tenant access).
• Operate What You Ship: monitoring, alerting, debugging live issues, on-call responsibilities.
• Collaborate and Grow: work with product, design, and engineers; gain end-to-end feature ownership.
