Job summary

Immuta, based in College Park, MD, is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Request App Team to deliver moderately complex features enabling data access workflows.

You will design backend services with TypeScript/NestJS and build frontend components with Angular, collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering to create secure, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes ownership, testing, and continuous improvement in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Typically 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript; experience with Angular, React, or comparable frontend frameworks.
• Experience building APIs/services with NestJS, Node.js, or similar backend frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and REST APIs, microservices, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs using TypeScript/NestJS and related technologies.
• Build frontend features in Angular and integrate them with shared design-system components.
• Own defined features and workflows from design through deployment and improvements.
• Develop workflow-driven functionality for data discovery, access requests, and approvals.
