Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Low-side LMS team in Hanover, MD. You will contribute across the software development lifecycle, working with instructors, developers, and system administrators to deliver reliable cyber training capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience
• OR Bachelor's degree in the same fields with 5 years of relevant experience
• OR Associate's degree (or 18 semester hours of military coursework/training in a computer-related field) with 7 years of relevant experience
• OR High school diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain software applications supporting cyber training environments.
• Analyze requirements and develop technical solutions that support mission and customer needs.
• Develop user interfaces, backend services, APIs, automation tools, and data processing solutions.
• Collaborate with instructors, developers, system administrators, and other technical teams to improve training capabilities.
• Apply secure coding practices and remediate vulnerabilities in code/dependencies as directed.

Associate's degree or 18 semester hours in a computer-related field
