Job summary

Amentum in Hanover, MD seeks a Software Engineer to join the DevOps team, contributing across the software lifecycle from requirements to deployment. You will develop, test, deploy, and support software applications and infrastructure, collaborating with instructors, developers, and system administrators to deliver reliable cyber training solutions.

Strong learning mindset, ability to write maintainable code, and effective teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Or Associate’s degree (or 18 semester hours of military coursework/training in a computer-related field) with two years of relevant experience.
• Or High school diploma/GED with four years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and supporting infrastructure.
• Assist with implementing technical solutions based on established requirements.
• Contribute to software components, scripts, APIs, and UI enhancements under guidance.
• Support operation and maintenance of software development pipelines.
• Collaborate with instructors, developers, and system administrators to improve training capabilities.
