Amentum is seeking a junior software engineer or Linux system administrator to support multiple projects in Hanover, MD. You will help set up development environments, apply security patches, and update libraries, while exploring configurations for lab and production equipment.

The role involves collaboration with customers, code reviews, and software integration tasks, with a TS/SCI w/ Poly security posture and a strong emphasis on safety and quality processes.

Qualifications

• Minimal Java experience
• 1 year of Linux administration experience
• Minimal scripting/ansible/puppet experience

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Review tests and resolve software problem reports.
• Provide input on system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and reuse of COTS/GOTS.
