Job summary

Core4ce in Ohio is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and implement complex software for government programs. The role requires independent work, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and leadership on certain efforts.

The candidate will engage in technical decision-making, documentation, and interfacing with government stakeholders, while contributing to the full software development lifecycle and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively through written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions supporting government mission requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and system artifacts.
• Support cloud-based and containerized application development efforts.
• Contribute to Agile development activities, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
• Interface with government customers and program stakeholders to support project execution and mission success.
