Job summary

Core4ce is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and implement complex software solutions for mission-critical government programs. The role involves independent work, technical leadership potential, and collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the software lifecycle.

The candidate should contribute to technical decision-making, produce documentation, and support cloud-based/containerized development.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required; TS/SCI clearance preferred or attainable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology with ≥5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical challenges and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions supporting government mission requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and system artifacts.
• Support cloud-based and containerized application development efforts.
• Contribute to Agile development activities, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
• Interface with government customers and program stakeholders to support project execution.
