Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer II to strengthen our build and release foundation for safety-critical autonomous systems.

You will develop and operate production infrastructure, improve CI/CD pipelines, and write scalable automation to boost release velocity while preserving reliability and software quality. This role is remote in the United States or hybrid in Ann Arbor, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or Master's with up to 3 years.
• Proficient in an object-oriented language, preferably Python.
• Experience with AWS (IAM, EC2, S3) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, ECS).
• Fluent in Python and scripting or templating with Bash or Go.
• Hands-on with build systems Bazel, CMake, Maven, or Gradle and code-quality tools.
• Familiar with CI/CD, logging, and monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into automation and infrastructure solutions.
• Participate in design discussions and document approaches.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain code with unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate through code reviews and shared quality standards.
• Support production operations by investigating incidents and on-call involvement.
• Improve runbooks, tutorials, and API documentation across teams.
