Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to sit at the center of our Torc Sim growth, partnering with Dataloop + Simulation and Autonomy teams to drive adoption. You will ensure replay/recompute jobs run at scale and that metrics are interpretable across models.

You will translate between simulation platform needs and autonomy model requirements, becoming the resident expert on Perception or Behavior models while improving data pipelines, visualization, and diagnostics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years experience, OR Master’s with 2+ years.
  • Strong Python skills and experience building or operating data pipelines at scale.
  • Experience with simulation, replay, or model validation.
  • Familiarity with autonomy or robotics ML models and the data they consume.
  • Comfort working across cloud storage and compute.
  • Strong cross-team communication skills; hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the embedded point of contact between Dataloop + Simulation and Autonomy teams.
  • Implement the end-to-end data flow: data ops platform → simulation environment → persistent storage running at scale.
  • Onboard Autonomy models to execute replay/recompute workflows at scale, as well as the subsequent metric evaluation.
  • Ensure adoption of the visualization tooling and bring back UI/UX improvements for our development backlog.
  • Become a domain expert on the model(s) your partner team owns and implement integrations.
  • Debug issues spanning data ingestion, simulation execution, storage and metrics.
  • Translate feedback into concrete requirements for the product roadmap.
