Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking talented early career Software Engineers to join our ATS-SED team in Marlborough, MA. You will develop, integrate and test safety-critical air traffic software components, leveraging Unix/Linux environments and C/C++ in an on-site role in the US.

You will participate in Agile ceremonies, configure development tools, and contribute to cloud and AI initiatives while collaborating with engineers, program management, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 2+ years of experience or an Advanced Degree.
• Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with Linux OS tuning, patching, hardening, and access control.
• Experience configuring, maintaining, and managing software development tools, services, and server installations.
• Experience with configuring and maintaining networking routers and servers.
• Proficiency with Bash and Python.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain the software development environment hardware and tools used by the engineering team.
• Maintain documentation and work instructions to meet ATS SED’s software engineering standards.
• Participate in the Agile process including standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming and story pointing.
• Facilitate a push towards cloud technologies and AI in software development.
• Collaborate with an integrated engineering team and stakeholders.
