Job summary

Acara Solutions seeks a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and enhance technology solutions for banking clients in Amherst, NY (Remote). This 12-month contract role emphasizes leading systems analysis and delivering reliable, scalable applications.

You will collaborate with technology teams, business stakeholders, and vendors, providing technical leadership and mentorship while driving projects from conception through implementation. Strong front‑end, cloud, and C# skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems analysis and application development
• Minimum 7 years of experience coordinating between applications and business units
• Minimum 7 years of experience in recommending and implementing systems solutions
• Minimum 7 years of experience in driving project milestones and delivery dates
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Modern Front-End Framework (Angular/React/Svelte) with UX Design
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Cloud (Azure/AWS)
• Minimum 7 years of experience in C#

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee systems analysis, application design, development, testing, and implementation for projects ranging from straightforward enhancements to complex technology initiatives.
• Develop technical and functional specifications, project plans, test strategies, documentation, and effort estimates while ensuring solutions meet business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with development, operations, technology, business, and vendor teams throughout the full project lifecycle, from technical analysis through user acceptance testing.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members, coordinating development activities and monitoring project progress and deliverables.
• Evaluate existing applications, technologies, processes, and platforms to identify opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and support effective risk, regulatory, and technology standards.
