Job summary

Qualtrics in Seattle seeks a Software Engineer I - Data Platform to build features leveraging LLMs and agentic systems, spanning backend to UI. You will collaborate across PM, UX, QE, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable, well-tested code in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires a CS degree or related field and 0-2 years of experience, with exposure to AWS and a readiness to learn Java, Spring, and other languages.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related technology field
• 0 - 2 years of full time work experience in software development
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices, including code reviews, testing, and collaboration with other engineers.
• Experience with at least one modern programming language and willingness to learn Java, Spring and other programming languages
• Some exposure to UI development is helpful but not required; the team can teach the specifics of the tech stack.
• Exposure to AWS technologies
• A track record of shipping features or projects, even in academic or personal projects, that demonstrates you can take work from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features that leverage LLMs and agentic systems to power Qualtrics' text analytics capabilities, working across the full stack from database to UI.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams in the Enrichments space to integrate your work and unblock downstream dependencies.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality practices that keep the codebase maintainable and reliable as the team scales.
• Learn and apply new AI tooling and development practices alongside your teammates, contributing to the team's collective knowledge base.
• Drive ownership of assigned projects, managing dependencies and communication with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
