Job summary

Quanata, LLC is seeking a hands-on Data Platform QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of complex data platforms and ML workflows. You will design scalable testing approaches, collaborate with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and DevOps to identify risks early and drive quality across the lifecycle.

You will mentor junior QA engineers while staying hands-on and shaping testing practices across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Typically 6–8 years software testing experience, with 3+ years in data platform or ML testing.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable automated testing frameworks for data pipelines and ML models.
• Develop testing strategies covering data quality, schema validation, data drift, model accuracy, bias and regression.
• Validate large-scale distributed data systems for accuracy, reliability, performance, and resilience.
• Collaborate across engineering, data science, and operations teams to embed quality throughout SDLC.
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and risks in new features and ML workflows.
• Mentor junior SDETs and contribute to QA standards and best practices.
