Job summary

Financial Statement Services, Inc. (FSSI) is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Application Development team at our East Coast facilities in Orlando, FL or Lincoln, RI. The role emphasizes ownership, initiative, and delivering robust applications and templates that support production workflows.

You will develop in C# with .NET Core, build RESTful APIs, work with SQL Server, and participate in CI/CD and cloud deployments. Hybrid work is available after a 90-day onsite training period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in CS/Software Eng or IT
• 1–2 years of software engineering/full-stack experience
• Strong C# and .NET development foundation
• Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC or Razor Pages and Web API
• Familiarity with SQL Server and EF Core/LINQ
• Understanding REST/JSON and integration patterns
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps tooling
• Exposure to AWS and Docker preferred
• Knowledge of OWASP security practices
• Familiarity with mailing/print production is a plus

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requests and identify updates to apps or templates
• Lead discussions with stakeholders to design robust applications
• Interpret input data and manage data relationships
• Develop and maintain C# apps using .NET Core
• Design and troubleshoot RESTful APIs and JSON integrations
• Work with SQL Server and ORM data access
• Modify templates using OpenText Exstream or Quadient Inspire
• Write clean, testable code with SOLID and DI
• Submit Git merge requests and participate in code reviews
• Support QA, DevOps, CI/CD, and deployments
• Use automated tests (xUnit/NUnit) for quality and regression
• Contribute to cloud development with AWS and Docker
• Ensure changes align with development standards
• Integrate with internal APIs and third-party services
• Understand USPS mailing requirements for templates
