Job summary

Beyond New Horizons is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at Arnold Engineering Development Complex, Arnold AFB, TN. You will join a small team to design, develop, test, and deploy engineering software tools for mission-critical aerospace testing.

The role requires a BS in CS/SE/Math with related experience and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Expect work on HPC platforms, legacy systems, and collaboration with engineers, physicists,

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Mathematics from an accredited college or university plus two years related experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC due to Air Force Security requirements.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy engineering software tools as part of a small team of developers and engineers.
Develop new capabilities such as standalone codes or libraries that can be integrated into existing codes.
Maintain legacy codebases, adding new capabilities or troubleshooting and resolving undesirable behavior.
Work with engineers to automate complex workflows or repetitive tasks.
Port locally developed and third-party software to a variety of HPC platforms, interfacing with various hardware, compiler, MPI, and queueing system environments.
Contribute to technical documentation and engineering reports.
Wear PPE as required by policy and direction.
Perform other duties as required.
