Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks a Software Engineer to support AEDC software development efforts at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. You will collaborate with engineers, physicists, and other developers to deliver robust software tools for ground test facilities.

Open to external candidates only. The role requires DoD security clearance eligibility and strong software skills across Python, Java, Linux, and HPC environments.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Mathematics from an accredited college or university plus two years related experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy engineering software tools as part of a small team of developers and engineers.
• Develop new capabilities such as standalone codes or libraries that can be integrated into existing codes.
• Maintain legacy codebases, adding new capabilities or troubleshooting and resolving undesirable behavior.
• Work with engineers to automate complex workflows or repetitive tasks.
• Port locally developed and third-party software to HPC platforms, interfacing with hardware, compiler, MPI, and queueing systems.
