CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement digital solutions for optimizing Payer Operations. You will architect end-to-end integrations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovative AI/ML-based automation across data platforms.

The role requires 5+ years of SQL/data warehousing experience, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting enterprise healthcare data systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational database management systems.
• Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.
• Programming and modifying code in SQL, Python, and related languages to support cloud-based and on-prem data warehousing services.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting data issues.
• Hands-on experience with performance improvement techniques.
• Willingness to identify and implement process improvements and take ownership in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build end-to-end integration patterns bridging cloud-native SaaS, Epic EMR, and Enterprise Data Platform.
• Conduct system testing, debugging, and code reviews; ensure reliability and scalability of the integration layer.
• Act as a technical consultant to Product and Business leads; refine requirements and propose design patterns.
• Explore AI/ML tools to drive innovation and intelligent automation.
• Create and maintain system designs, diagrams, and best practices for governance and knowledge transfer.
• Handle ambiguity and engage stakeholders to translate vague requirements into concrete solutions.
