Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement digital solutions across payer operations. You will architect end-to-end data pipelines, optimize metadata, and contribute to platform self-service and governance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply SQL, Python, and data warehousing skills, and bring a pragmatic, self-starting mindset to solve ambiguous requirements while maintaining high quality and security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.
• Programming in SQL, Python for cloud/on-prem data warehousing.
• Troubleshooting data issues.
• Experience with performance improvement techniques.
• Ability to own deliverables in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build integration patterns bridging cloud-native SaaS, Epic EMR, and data platform.
• Ensure reliability and scalability of the integration layer.
• Act as technical consultant to Product and Business leads.
• Explore AI/ML to drive innovation and automation.
• Create architecture diagrams and governance docs for platform self-service.
• Handle ambiguous requirements by asking stakeholders and delivering appropriate solutions.
