Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions for payer operations. You will architect end-to-end data pipelines, optimize the data platform, and collaborate with product and clinical teams to improve data quality and performance.

You will work with SQL, Python, and cloud-based and on-prem data warehousing to deliver scalable analytics and automation. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational DB systems.
• Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in programming with SQL, Python, and cloud/on-prem data warehousing.
• Experience troubleshooting data issues and implementing improvement techniques.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments and take ownership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build end‑to‑end data integration patterns across cloud-native and core systems.
• Perform comprehensive testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Serve as a technical consultant to Product and Business teams, refining requirements and designs.
• Explore AI/ML opportunities to drive smarter automation and innovation.
• Create high-quality designs, diagrams, and governance documentation for platform self-service.
