Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement digital solutions for Payer Operations. You will architect end-to-end integration patterns connecting cloud-native SaaS with core clinical systems and the Enterprise Data Platform, while guiding cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes QA, scalability, and collaboration with Product and Business leads, with opportunities to apply AI/ML to automate workflows and improve payer performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational DBMS.
• Hands-on dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.
• Programming in SQL, Python to support cloud-based and on-prem data warehousing services.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting data issues.
• Hands-on experience with performance improvement techniques.
• Willingness to identify and implement process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: design end-to-end integration patterns bridging cloud-native SaaS and core clinical systems.
• Quality & Resilience: perform system testing, debugging, and code reviews ensuring scalable reliability.
• Stakeholder Leadership: act as technical consultant to Product and Business leads.
• Innovation & AI: explore tools/frameworks and apply AI/ML to automation.
• Documentation & Governance: create architecture diagrams and best practices for self-service.
• Self Starter: navigate ambiguity by asking stakeholders questions to align requirements.
