Job summary

Altitude AI, the leading Generative AI platform for the industrial world, is seeking a Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in downtown Salt Lake City. You will design AI models that translate engineering drawings into actionable automation programs and integrate with leading industrial systems.

The role combines software engineering with advanced AI, requiring a strong Python background and interest in ML/LLMs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and software development.
• Interest or experience in AI/ML, LLMs and code generation.
• Ability to interpret unstructured data (spreadsheets, PDFs, CAD files).
• Proactive ownership of features from planning to rollout.
• Industrial automation experience is a plus; robotics exposure helps.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI models that generate PLC and robot programs from drawings and natural language inputs.
• Create software that integrates with Studio 5000, TIA Portal, and Roboguide.
• Improve data extraction from mechanical/electrical drawings for automation use.
• Build internal tools and infrastructure to test and deploy AI-generated automation logic.
