Job summary

Mesirow Currency is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to help develop our proprietary systems. This is a high visibility role with immediate impact on our daily operations, partnering with experienced engineers and business stakeholders to own well-scoped features in the currency-management space.

You will work in an agile team, drive testing, CI/CD, and DevOps improvements, and have opportunities to leverage AI tools to enhance system reliability and SDLC velocity across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in application development and testing in C# or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React.
• Experience in designing and building APIs.
• Solid understanding of relational databases.
• Knowledge of observability; monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• DevOps experience, Git-based workflows and CI/CD.
• Self-starter with strong ownership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of features and enhancements to our portfolio management and trading systems while also solving for changing business needs
• Develop and maintain reliable, performant production applications, with attention to correctness and maintainability
• Participate in an agile team dynamic; own testing through test automation, drive DevOps capabilities and CI/CD across environments.
• Leverage authorized AI tools to improve SDLC velocity and increase system reliability.
• Contribute to code reviews, refactoring, and improvements informed by testing, performance measurements, and production feedback
• Investigate and resolve application issues, collaborating with other engineers on complex problems
