Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Software Engineer to modernize and sustain a portfolio of enterprise applications serving government and industry partners. You will work across Java/Spring Boot, Oracle SQL, Linux, and Docker in a fast-paced, secure environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• - TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
• - A bachelor's degree and 6 years of software development/engineering experience, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• - Experience with Java development.
• - Experience with Oracle databases including SQL development.
• - Linux experience and Docker-based deployments.
• - Availability to work within core hours 10 AM–2 PM.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, and modernize backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Work with Oracle databases and SQL to develop, troubleshoot, optimize and support data interactions.
• Learn and apply additional languages, frameworks, tools as required by mission needs.
• Update software requirements, libraries, and dependencies for security and maintainability.
• Analyze code changes from upgrades and perform root-cause analysis on issues.
• Collaborate with customers, developers, and systems engineers to deliver solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and continuous improvement.
• Support deployments, troubleshooting, and operations in Linux and Docker environments.
• Contribute to long-term stability, reliability, security, and modernization of enterprise applications.
