Job summary

Freedom is seeking a Senior Software Developer to modernize enterprise systems, maintain security applications, and mentor junior staff. The role involves working across Node.js, Java, Angular/AngularJS, and front-end frameworks with MongoDB, SQL, AWS, and Git in a cloud-enabled, agile environment.

The team collaborates with security experts to ensure compliance and delivers high-availability applications for critical government functions in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 12 years of software development/engineering experience.
• Sixteen years' experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases; strong technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to support mission-critical security applications across the stack.
• Maintain 8 independent applications using Angular, Vue, and frontend tech.
• Serve as SME and mentor junior developers.
• Work with Node.js and Java backends to ensure reliability.
• Provide development, testing, and production support in cloud environments.
• Design enterprise applications with scalable, robust solutions.
• Code, test, and troubleshoot in a cloud infrastructure with Agile processes.
• Use Jira for agile tracking and Git for version control.
