Job summary

Blue Origin, in the Greater Seattle Area, is seeking a Software Engineer for the TeraWave RF and Optical Systems team. You will design and implement multi-threaded embedded software in C/C++, work with hardware interfaces, and contribute to the control and data plane of the constellation.

Join a cross-functional team focused on real-time systems, high-speed data handling, and secure software practices. Onsite role with relocation assistance and travel up to 10% available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of embedded software development in C/C++ on Linux/RTOS/bare-metal.
• Strong knowledge of C++ OO design and implementation.
• Experience debugging embedded systems with SW and HW tools (GDB, JTAG).
• Familiarity with SPI, I3C, I2C, PCIe, CAN, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multi-threaded embedded software in C/C++.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware systems.
• Develop unit and integration tests and CI/CD integration.
• Troubleshoot using telemetry, logs/traces, and debugging tools.
• Create technical documentation and contribute to design reviews.
