Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (DevOps Focused) to support critical data platforms for the Intelligence Community. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deploy applications, and manage containerized services with Podman and Tomcat.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (additional 2 years of experience may substitute degree).
• 3 years of experience in software development.
• Willingness to obtain AWS/CKAD certifications (Visionist pays exam/time).
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, React/Redux, Protobuf, Websockets, WebGL, and memory management.
• Experience with Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for building and testing phases.
• Coordinate application deployments.
• Maintain containerized applications using Podman.
• Introduce and manage automated application testing.
• Maintain Apache Tomcat servers and the applications deployed on them.

• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, Typescript, React or Redux, Protobuf, Websockets, WebGL, low-level data, and efficient memory mgmt
• Experience with Version Control (Git)
• Interest in working on a small expert team that communicates regularly with analysts and willingness to take on tasks, from requirements gathering and design to deployment

Salary range

$115,000 - $155,000
