Job summary

Tive is looking for an ambitious Software Engineer Co-op who enjoys working across the software stack and tackling a wide variety of tasks. You will help build a large-scale data processing and analytics system that provides monitoring, analysis and predictions for shipments in supply chain management.

The term runs roughly July to December 2026, with a full-time schedule and on-site work at our Charlestown office at least 3 days per week (5 days preferred).

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of data modeling and relational databases.
• Proficiency with server side languages such as C# and Python.
• Experience with front end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, and MongoDB.
• Ability to work with remote coworkers in other time zones.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and QA testers in an agile scrum team to design, develop, and implement new features.
• Write clean, maintainable code under the guidance of senior engineers and participate in stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects promptly.
• Contribute to unit and integration tests and document implementation details.
• Learn and apply best practices in version control, code reviews, and CI.
