Job summary

Tive is seeking a Software Engineer Co-op to join our Boston team. You will help build a large-scale data processing and analytics system that provides monitoring, analysis, and predictions for shipments in supply chain management.

The role involves working on server-side languages like C# and Python, plus frontend familiarity with Angular or React, and containerized deployments using Docker/Kubernetes. On-site collaboration is encouraged in Charlestown.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of data modeling and relational databases.
• Proficiency with server side languages such as C# and Python.
• Experience with SQL Server, Postgres, and MongoDB.
• Experience with AWS hosting environments and DevOps.
• Experience with big data streaming platforms such as AWS Kinesis or Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with front end frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Experience using Docker and/or Kubernetes to build containerized applications.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and QA testers in an agile Scrum team to design, develop, and implement new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects.
• Contribute to unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Support documentation efforts for new features and technical designs.
