Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics invites student developers for a co-op/internship in Louisville, KY to gain real-world experience while contributing to the Exacta warehouse management software.

You will validate software modules, analyze logs, and collaborate with senior developers to locate root causes, design test plans, and build test environments with Hyper-V.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Eager to learn Visual Studio, C#, Visual C++, SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• Strong quality control and computer skills, with ability to deploy and test software.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn.
• Adherence to information security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete software validation ensuring modules meet specs, design docs, and end user requirements.
• Understand bug tracking, identify issues in Exacta product enhancements.
• Review logs to locate potential database issues and root causes.
• Collaborate with senior developers to fix bugs in the software.
• Design and execute test plans; report bugs and close loop with team.
• Use Hyper-V to create/maintain test environments for project coverage.

Job Overview

Seeking creative, talented up and coming developers who are eager to learn, enjoy challenges, and looking to jump start their career in development. We develop state of the art Warehouse Management Software. We are seeking future Software Developers with a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or IT to come join us for their co-op or internship in order to gain real world experience.

Exacta is our proprietary software created in house.

Shift

• 1st shift

Job Functions

• Complete software validation, ensuring that all software modules meet functional specifications, design documents, and end user requirements.
• Understanding the bug tracking process throughout our development cycle; demonstrating attention to details in identifying issues with the Exacta product enhancement
• Ability to look through the logs to distinguish where the issue may be, if a database issue.
• Diving into issues to understand true root cause, and then working with senior level developers to fix any bugs in the software.
• Design and execute test plans; communicating bugs and working with other team members to close the loop on open issues.
• Use Hyper-V to create and maintain working test environments that allow team to cover all aspects of every project

Travel Requirements

• 5% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Toyota Automated Logistics)

Preferred Skills And Required Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
