Job summary

Waymo is seeking a software engineering/research role in a hybrid setting reporting to the Technical Lead Manager. You will contribute to perception, decision-making, and DL systems powering the Waymo Driver, building tools and real-time data pipelines for autonomous vehicles.

Required a BS in CS/ML/Robotics or equivalent, 3+ years of C++ software engineering, and collaboration across teams; MS and robotics-focused experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, ML, Robotics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years general software engineering experience programming in C++ with efficient code.
• Experience collaborating with different teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with a creative team to ensure that autonomous driving software behaves safely and predictably.
• Frame real-world problems into well-defined engineering problems; develop tools, algorithms and evaluation mechanisms; scale to large data pipelines and run in real-time on vehicles.
