Waymo seeks a software engineer with strong C++ skills for a hybrid role, working on perception, decision-making and real-time systems for the Waymo Driver. You will collaborate across teams to deliver safe, scalable software for Level 4 autonomy.

Required BS in CS/ML/Robotics (or equivalent), 5+ years of C++ software experience, and teamwork. MS in CS/ML/Robotics is a plus; base salary ranges from $251,000 to $310,000 USD with strong benefits.

• BS in Computer Science, ML, Robotics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years general software engineering experience in C++.
• Experience collaborating with different teams.

Responsibilities

• Frame real-world problems into engineering tasks; build tools, algorithms, and evaluation mechanisms.
• Scale to large data pipelines and run in real-time on vehicles.
