Job summary

Amazon's Service Resource Management team is hiring a Software Development Engineer to build a network optimization product and improve how Amazon's global Customer Service network runs.

You will own end-to-end parts of the product, work across service behavior and data logic, and help leaders review network performance with clarity and speed. The role emphasizes sound decision-making and contributing to AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science or equivalent.
• Strong programming ability in at least one modern language (TypeScript/JavaScript/Python/Java).

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of one or more workflows or subsystems.
• Build reliable backend systems and supporting jobs that turn internal data into clear product behavior.
• Define and document metric logic, edge-case handling, and operational behavior.
• Improve observability, data quality, and operational health.
• Mentor newer engineers through code reviews and design feedback.
• Contribute to workflows that use AI-assisted analysis or automation.
