Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Software Engineer III to join a dynamic team modernizing our platform services and accelerating development. You will help re-architect the software, build Android-based capabilities, and ensure clean abstractions across SDKs and APIs.

The role requires strong Rust/TypeScript/Kotlin/Java skills, deep knowledge of Android internals, C in Linux, and network/AI tooling experience. Hybrid work model in Irvine, CA with collaboration across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent engineering discipline.
• Strong engineering communication and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Rust, TypeScript, Kotlin, and Java.
• Android internals including Android SDK, NDK, JNI, and IPC.
• C programming in Linux, real-time, multi-threaded embedded software development.
• Knowledge of TCP/UDP/IP networks and AI-assisted software development and testing tools.

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join a dynamic development team working on next-generation platform services. This position plays an essential role in a high-priority project involving a significant re-architecture of our software platform. The successful candidate will contribute to modernizing existing systems and accelerating development efforts to support advanced capabilities and clean abstractions.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop next-generation platform services, contributing directly to a major software re-architecture.
• Develop modern Android-based platform capabilities, APIs, and SDKs to enable seamless consumption of platform services.
• Reverse-engineer and modernize legacy behaviors, translating required functionality into clean, modern services and APIs.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge of network programming (TCP/UDP/IP) and AI-assisted software development and testing tools.
Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with open-source software development tools and Linux environment optimization.
• Experience creating robust, scalable product solutions utilizing user-centered, iterative development cycles.
