Everforth Apex is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in Harrisburg, PA (hybrid) to lead enterprise AI platforms across Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, and open-source models. You will define standards, govern AI workflows, and partner with stakeholders to design secure, scalable AI-enabled processes.

Senior AI Engineer

Role Overview

This position serves as a senior technical subject matter expert responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, advancement, and ongoing support of enterprise AI platforms and related technologies across the organization. The role spans leading AI ecosystems—including Microsoft (Copilot, Foundry, Power Platform), Amazon Web Services (Bedrock, SageMaker, and related AI services), Google Cloud (Vertex AI), and open-source/foundation-model platforms. It carries a mission-critical responsibility for enabling advanced AI-driven automation and business process transformation across a multi-cloud AI landscape. Operating with a high degree of independence and technical authority, the Senior AI Engineer develops architectural standards, establishes engineering best practices, evaluates emerging AI technologies, and partners with stakeholders to design secure, scalable workflows that solve complex business process issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level engineering expertise across leading enterprise AI platforms, including Microsoft, AWS, and open-source/foundation-model frameworks.


• Design, configure, optimize, and manage the lifecycle of AI services across multiple cloud providers following industry standards and security requirements.


• Develop architectural standards, governance models, operational processes, and technical documentation for a multi-vendor AI environment.


• Design, develop, and implement solutions using enterprise AI technologies, including Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, AWS AI infrastructure, and other industry model providers.


• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable, vendor-appropriate AI-enabled solutions.


• Develop integrations across cloud AI services, low-code/automation platforms, APIs, and approved third-party applications.


• Design, configure, and enhance security controls and information protection capabilities across multi-cloud AI workloads.


• Monitor emerging compliance capabilities across AI platforms and recommend improvements to strengthen data protection strategies.


• Support the adoption and governance of emerging AI capabilities, including conversational agents, agent-building studios, connectors, and model endpoints.


• Provide advanced troubleshooting, escalation support, and technical guidance to other IT professionals across the organization.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and experience.

Experience: Three or more years of relevant experience administering and engineering enterprise AI platforms across multiple providers, such as Microsoft or AWS AI services.

Technical Skills: Proven experience with AI solution development, workflow automation, and business process improvement. Strong knowledge of authentication technologies, security practices, and AI platform administration across cloud environments. Advanced scripting and automation experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced enterprise AI administration and agent/assistant development on major platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot Studio, Amazon Bedrock Agents), including AI governance and security controls.


• Advanced low-code and enterprise automation platform architecture experience, including environment strategy, connectors, data platforms, and application lifecycle management.


• Experience integrating and operating AI services across multiple clouds, including Microsoft Foundry and AWS AI infrastructure.


• Experience with APIs and cloud development technologies such as Microsoft Graph API, Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, or comparable serverless and integration services.


• Familiarity with foundation models and model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta Llama) and the practices for securely integrating them into enterprise workflows.
