Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable web applications, leveraging React on the frontend, Node.js on the backend, and AWS cloud services. The role emphasizes external-facing websites and cloud-native solutions with a strong focus on security and DevSecOps.

Hybrid work arrangement (Onsite 4 days per week) in Newport Beach, with additional locations such as Charlotte and Omaha as noted.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Proven experience developing and supporting external websites and customer-facing applications.
• Strong frontend experience with React or similar modern frameworks.
• Strong backend experience with Node.js.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and serverless computing.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and SOAP, RESTful, and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar work management and development platforms.
• Proficiency with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Full Stack Engineer

Pay Rate: $82-$87/hour

Location: Newport Beach, CA | Charlotte, NC | Omaha, NE

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite 4 days per week)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable web applications and cloud-based solutions. This role requires hands-on experience building external-facing websites and applications, modern full-stack development expertise, and a strong background in cloud technologies, APIs, and DevSecOps practices.

Important: Candidates must have demonstrated experience developing external-facing websites and applications. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Proven experience developing and supporting external websites and customer-facing applications.
• Strong expertise building web applications using React or similar modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and serverless computing.
• Experience with databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and SOAP, RESTful, and GraphQL APIs.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection best practices.
