Job summary

Optomi is seeking experienced AI professionals to join a Forward Deployment Engineering team in Frisco, TX, building agentic AI workflows and GenAI-enabled applications for client environments.

Are you an experienced AI Solution Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or AI Application Developer looking to make an impact by building and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions? We are seeking talented AI professionals to join a growing Forward Deployment Engineering team in Frisco, TX.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team being built from the ground up, with plans to hire 10-15 professionals across a range of experience levels. You'll work directly with clients to understand their business challenges and translate them into scalable, AI-enabled solutions. From agentic AI workflows and GenAI applications to AI assistants and intelligent automation, you'll have the opportunity to work hands-on with emerging technologies while helping organizations solve real-world business problems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, engineer, configure, and deploy agentic AI workflows, GenAI-enabled applications, AI assistants, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand business processes, technical requirements, and opportunities for AI-enabled solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions leveraging Generative AI and LLM technologies.
• Develop and configure LLM-based application components, workflows, and AI-enabled solution capabilities.
• Design and support integrations between AI solutions, enterprise applications, APIs, and knowledge sources.
• Engineer and manage data flows, including inputs, outputs, and information exchanged between systems and AI applications.
• Develop prompt flows and solution components designed to improve AI response relevance and usability.
• Execute functional and integration testing to validate solution quality, accuracy, and performance.
• Collaborate with technical teams and senior stakeholders to solve complex client challenges and support successful solution deployments.
• Contribute to a growing Forward Deployment Engineering organization and help shape best practices as the team expands.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in AI solution engineering, AI application development, Forward Deployed Engineering, or a similar hands-on technical role.
• Hands-on experience developing or deploying solutions using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or related AI technologies.
• Experience designing and building AI-enabled applications or workflows for business use cases.
• Strong experience with API and application integration engineering.
• Experience working with data flows, including designing and managing system inputs and outputs.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
• Experience with functional and integration testing of technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building or deploying agentic AI workflows.
• Experience developing AI assistants, intelligent automation solutions, or GenAI-enabled enterprise applications.
• Experience designing prompt flows and optimizing AI or LLM responses.
• Experience integrating enterprise knowledge sources into AI-enabled applications.
• Experience working in a client-facing or consulting-style engineering environment.
• Experience taking technical solutions from requirements gathering through deployment.
• Familiarity with emerging AI frameworks, tools, and application development practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while balancing technical development with client needs.
