Job summary

Reach Velocity - Emerging Technology is hiring a hands-on Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join a growing AI team within a large global business. You’ll work between engineering and commercial teams, turning real workflows into high-value AI solutions and taking prototypes into production.

You’ll design architectures, help shape the AI roadmap, and communicate trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders while expanding GenAI capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AI engineering, ML, software engineering or data science.
• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI, LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows and tool use.
• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar.
• Cloud experience, ideally AWS.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related quantitative field.
• Strong curiosity around complex commercial decision‑making problems.
• Build AI products used directly by commercial teams.
• Work on high-impact, real-world problems.

Responsibilities

• Build, integrate and deploy agentic AI applications
• Extend internal GenAI capabilities through integrations, data connectors, tool-calling and MCP-based workflows

• Own delivery from prototype through production
• Communicate technical assumptions, trade-offs and limitations clearly to senior stakeholders
• Contribute to code reviews, experimentation, evaluation and engineering standards
• Help drive adoption of AI tools across the business

We’re hiring a hands‑on Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join a growing AI team within a large global business.

This role sits between engineering and commercial teams. You’ll work directly with business users to understand real workflows, identify high-value AI opportunities, design solutions, and take them from prototype through to production.

You’ll also help shape the wider AI roadmap by feeding technical requirements, reusable patterns and lessons learned back into the core engineering team.
