Role: Senior PEGA Architect / Technical Lead

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior PEGA Architect / Technical Lead with 9–10+ years of hands‑on PEGA experience and a strong track record of delivering complex PEGA implementations and upgrades.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience with PEGA Cloud version upgrades, preferably within financial services organizations, along with expertise in the PEGA Smart Disputes Framework and Mastercard integrations. The candidate will work closely with business, architecture, engineering, and delivery teams to successfully execute large‑scale PEGA transformation and upgrade initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and provide technical expertise for PEGA Cloud version upgrade initiatives.
• Assess existing PEGA applications and define upgrade strategy, technical approach, dependencies, and risks.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of PEGA solutions, ensuring adherence to PEGA best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
• Provide senior-level guidance on application design, development, integration, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable PEGA solutions.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Identify and remediate upgrade-related compatibility issues, deprecated features, customizations, and integration challenges.
• Provide expertise in PEGA Smart Disputes Framework and its implementation/customization.
• Design and support Mastercard integrations, including integration flows, APIs, data exchange, and related payment/dispute processes.
• Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, performance, and regulatory requirements applicable to financial services.
• Support testing, deployment, production readiness, and post-upgrade stabilization activities.
• Mentor PEGA developers and technical team members and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 9–10+ years of overall IT experience, with extensive hands‑on experience in PEGA.
• Deep expertise in PEGA architecture, development, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience working as a Senior PEGA Developer, Lead, or Architect on enterprise-scale implementations.
• Strong hands‑on experience with PEGA Cloud version upgrades.
• Prior experience delivering PEGA upgrades within financial services, banking, payments, or credit-card organizations.
• Strong knowledge and implementation experience with PEGA Smart Disputes Framework.
• Experience with Mastercard integrations and payment/dispute-related systems.
• Strong understanding of PEGA integration technologies, APIs, web services, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience analyzing existing PEGA applications and planning remediation activities as part of upgrade programs.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives in a complex enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• PEGA certification such as CSSA / LSA or equivalent senior-level PEGA certification.
• Experience with PEGA Infinity / Pega Platform and PEGA Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and cloud-based deployment practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of financial-services dispute, chargeback, and card-payment processes.
• Experience with other payment networks or financial-services integrations is a plus.
