Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego, CA is seeking a Software Engineering Manager 2 – SW Development Lead to guide a 10–20 person team through the full software development life cycle in an Agile environment.

You will plan, execute and deliver software products to meet contractual cost, schedule, and technical requirements, and collaborate with Software Development, Systems Engineering, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field AND 9 years of related professional experience that includes a background in software development.
• Candidate must have excellent written, communication, and emotional intelligence skills, and be able to work independently and within groups
• Ability to facilitate/mediate in conflict resolution matters
• Proficiency in software development, Object Oriented programming, and software lifecycle processes
• Familiarity with other engineering disciplines including manufacturing, test, systems, quality, and electrical
• Must have an Active U.S. government Secret Clearance
• Candidate must be able to work on site at the facility

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development life cycle including design, implementation, and delivery of software products to our customers
• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems

• Workforce: maintain staff adequate to execute to program plans, as well as for strategic growth. Plan assignments and fill program needs to ensure success, but which also offer growth to the individuals performing the work
