Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Software Development Manager to own the team's roadmap and ensure the strategic vision is executed. You will mentor engineers, gather customer requirements, prioritize projects, and deliver high-quality software for the Kuiper mission.

You will lead a distributed team building operational tooling across ground and space systems, focusing on scalable, reliable software and driving operational excellence through strong communication and organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting scalable systems.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead and manage a diverse team of engineers.
• Provide technical guidance for projects with broad scope and tight schedules.
• Define team growth expectations and organizational strategy.
• Coordinate internal and external resources for team and project success.
• Communicate across teams to identify risks and mitigation plans.
• Juggle multiple priorities while optimizing system and schedule.
